Access Service to Armed Forces Assistance

• Active duty service members stationed in the United States and their immediate family members may call the Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces Centers for help 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The toll-free telephone number is 877-272-7337. Overseas personnel stationed on military installations should call base or installation operators or the on-base Red Cross offices.

• Other family members who do not reside in the service members' household, members of the National Guard and Reserves, retirees and civilians living in Cabarrus County may access Red Cross services by calling 704-782-9022.

It is helpful to have the following information ready to give to the caseworker:

• Full name
• Rank/rating
• Branch of service (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard)
• Social Security number or date of birth
• Military address
• Information about the deployed units and home base unit (for deployed service members only)
